I'm an engineer and a published technical writer that now raises heritage breed and native wild ducks on a farm on the Umpqua River. I come from a long line of 'foodies'. I am blending my love of farm life with my love of food by striving to produce the best farm products and making them available to chefs countrywide. I also believe in sustainable agriculture and community supported farms. I am doing my part to feed the world: one egg at a time

I am the chef/owner of the Stone House Grill in Redmond Washington. We are a neighborhood pub and bistro that serves highend comfort foods from the Pacific Northwest. We strive to procure as much of our ingrediants as possible from local producers from produce to meat to beer and wine.

I believe in everyone's ability to be a locavore. I work with my produce partners to show their customers, from seed to table, where their food originates. We began the Norm Lehne Garden & Orchards in 1974, selling u-pick produce from our large family garden. Eventually we expanded the garden & added our fruit & hazelnut orchards. Since 2002, we have been bringing our farm-fresh produce to Farmers' Markets, while continuing the u-pick at the farm. We will begin delivering our CSA harvest boxes in July 2008. We place great value on our second-generation family farm, & have been carefully managing its quality of produce, productivity, & long-term sustainability. As stewards of a natural resource we hope it will one day be managed by another generation.

Raven Feathers Farm is a bio-secure, 9 acre poultry farm dedicated to managing a healthy, happy, flock. Our goal is to provide the best possible environment for our birds so that they live long, productive lives. Our ducks are free ranged, fed fruits and vegetables from both our farm and other organic farms and the best possible feed available to produce high quality eggs and meat.
