The 2014 Farmer-Chef Connection is Monday, March 3rd, 8am – 5pm at The World Forestry Center in Portland.

What is Farmer-Chef Connection? 

The Farmer-Chef Connection draws over 300 chefs and producers to learn, network and do business. This popular one-day event attracts the chefs, restaurateurs, foodservice directors, bakers, butchers, artisans and grocery retailers, local farmers and ranchers, bakers, cheese-makers, and fisherman who are the stone-masons of the local food economy and the innovators of sustainable kitchens. This year, our fast-paced “FED” talks will return, as will Farmer Chef 101 – the best introduction you’ll find to sourcing locally anywhere. Additional programming will touch on a number of new topics at the forefront of the food system including ‘trash fish’ or lesser-known sustainable seafood, bringing global local through planet breeding, and restaurant strategies for balancing plates and principles.

Who is invited?

Farmers, ranchers, food processors and manufacturers, restaurant chefs, grocery retailers, specialty food store owners, food service operators, institutional buyers and distributors.
